Wine Pairing

Which wines pair best with pretzels?

It’s a great question and we have nine answers! Why? Because each of our bold, innovative seasoned sourdough pretzel nuggets has the perfect wine pairing to enhance our unique seasoning blends. So, whether you choose the combination because it’s your favorite wine or OMG! Pretzels flavor, these pairings will enhance any holiday cocktail party or open house gathering.

Garlic OMG! Pretzels & Sangiovese: Take a flavor trip to Italy with this classic pairing. The easy to drink red wine complements the savory flavors of our flagship pretzel nuggets, making it the ultimate happy hour snack pairing. You can round it out with a little cheese, salami and friends.

Cheddar Jalapeño OMG! Pretzels & Malbec: The smoky notes of the Malbec in this wine pairing match the jalapeño flavor in these cheesy and slightly spicy pretzel snacks. The Malbec is a bit more mellow than the flavor-forward pretzels, but together they are snack heaven.

Chesapeake OMG! Pretzels & Chardonnay: You need the rich buttery flavor and oaky background of the cold Chardonnay to stand up to the saltiness and spice of our Chesapeake pretzels. Perfect for patio sipping and snacking, this pretzel and wine combination will immediately transport you to the beach.

Lemon Pepper OMG! Pretzels & Rosé: Refreshing and summery, this wine pairing with pretzels has it all. It is sweet, savory and bright. The citrus notes in the rosé highlight the lemony goodness of the sourdough pretzel nuggets for a snacking combination that will have you coming back for more.

Buffalo OMG! Pretzels & Riesling: The medium spice level of this seasoning blend is highlighted by the light and sweet flavor of the Riesling. The chill on the wine is part of the reason this pairing works so well. Add a little blue cheese to the mix and you’ll be in flavor paradise.

Sweet & Salty OMG! Pretzels & Prosecco: Think of this combination as a dessert-lovers’ snack! The cinnamon in the Sweet & Salty pretzels keep this pairing from being too sweet while still having lots of pop and brightness. Plus, they make a pretty pair!

Salty Butterscotch OMG! Pretzels & Cotes du Rhone: Wine that has a light flavor and sweetness works well with the rich caramel notes of our Salty Butterscotch pretzel nuggets. For red wine, a Cotes du Rhone works perfectly with these pretzel nuggets. If you prefer white wine, we like a crisp and clean Riesling for this pairing.

Sweet & Spicy OMG! Pretzels & Red Zinfandel: A fruit forward red wine like Zinfandel is perfect with the spice these sweet snacks bring to the table. You may think the bolder the better with spicy foods, but actually the sweetness in the cherry notes of Zinfandel are preferable for a wine pairing.

Sweet Chili OMG! Pretzels & Sancerre: The key with this spicy variety of gourmet flavored pretzels is choosing a wine that has enough sweetness, so it complements the heat without clashing. If you’re looking for a more affordable option, you can use a Sweet White Bordeaux instead of the pricier French staple.
