Crab Nachos with Chesapeake OMG! Pretzels
Take a culinary trip to the beach with this simple and fun seafood dish. The sourdough pretzel nuggets serve as the “chips” for these nachos and the Chesapeake seasoning blend gives you all the flavor you expect for a dish that features shellfish. The dressing is a simple version of what you’d find on a Crab Louie salad and it helps hold the seafood together on the nachos. We opted for crab with this recipe, but you could use small shrimp, scallops or a mixture of shellfish. This dish could be a light dinner or lunch or make a big batch to share with friends as an appetizer for a summer dinner party.

Ingredients
- 1 bag of Chesapeake OMG! Pretzels
- 8 oz lump crab meat (or other shellfish)
- 2 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
For the Dressing:
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 ½ tbsp ketchup
- ½ tbsp pickle relish
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- ½ tsp hot sauce
Optional Toppings:
- Diced tomatoes
- Diced bell peppers
- Diced celery
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together dressing ingredients.
- Gently fold the seafood into half of the dressing.
- Spread the pretzel nuggets onto a large plate in a single layer.
- Spoon the seafood mixture on top of the pretzel nuggets
- Sprinkle on the fresh herbs and any additional toppings you like. Drizzle over some of the leftover dressing.
- Enjoy!
