Baked brie has long been popular for brie appetizer recipes. Whipped brie, which is basically a room temperature version, is quickly becoming a favorite. Brie is rich and creamy, so pairing it with a topping that adds sweetness or freshness is ideal. And, we always like to serve whipped brie with something crunchy - our seasoned sourdough pretzel nuggets - for that textural pairing.
Remove the rind from the cold brie cheese and cut into cubes. Allow the cheese to come to room temperature, about 30 minutes. PRO TIP: When you cut the cheese, put a piece of parchment paper underneath so that the brie will be easier to move once it softens.
Place the room temperature brie in the bowl of a food processor and pulse until smooth, about 5 minutes.
Spread the whipped brie in a shallow bowl or plate with a high edge. Spread the top with the back of a spoon or rubber spatula until it is smooth and has a nice presentation.
Top the whipped brie with jam and sprinkle on the toasted pumpkin seeds.
Serve with Sweet Chili seasoned pretzel nuggets for dipping.
