Mustard dip for pretzels is a party favorite. We have this one a special twist by folding in roasted garlic. We also used dijon mustard for a smooth and rich tasting dip. The mayonnaise cuts the sharpness of the mustard and the roasted garlic adds a touch of sweetness. You can pair any of our seasoned sourdough pretzel nuggets with this dip, but we prefer Chesapeake OMG! Pretzels since the seasoning blend can really stand up to the mustard dip.
Cut the top off of the head of garlic. Place on a square of aluminum foil big enough to cover the garlic. Drizzle with olive oil and a pinch of salt. Place the packet in a small baking dish.
Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the garlic is tender.
Allow the garlic to cool for about 5 minutes so it is easy to handle. Squeeze the garlic out of the bulb and smash until smooth.
Add the smashed garlic to a small bowl and combine with mustard and mayonnaise.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Top with fresh parsley or chives if you want to add some color. Serve with your favorite OMG! Pretzels for dipping. We prefer Garlic or Chesapeake with this roasted garlic mustard dip. Enjoy!
