Peanut Butter Pretzel Pie with Sweet & Salty Crust

If you’re in the mood for pie, we’ve got you covered with this easy to make and delicious to eat peanut butter pretzel pie. We call it the OG, OMG! Peanut Butter Pretzel Pie. For this one, we use our Sweet & Salty sourdough pretzel nuggets for the crust. The blend of cinnamon, sugar and the perfect hint of salt makes this a classic!   • pie tin
  • food processor

For the pretzel crust:

  • 2 cups Sweet & Salty OMG! Pretzels, (finely crushed)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, (melted)

For the peanut butter pie filling:

  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • ¼ cup cup cold water
  • ⅔ cup sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, (softened)
  • ½ cup heavy cream

For the topping (optional):

  • Whipped cream
  • Extra Sweet & Salty pretzel nuggets
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°. Combine finely crushed OMG! Pretzels with melted butter. Using the bottom of a glass or the back of a spoon, press into the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9-inch pie plate. Bake until set, about 12-15 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack.

  2. While the crust is cooling, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let stand for 5 minutes.

  3. Beat peanut butter, softened butter, cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Gradually beat in ½ cup of heavy cream.

  4. Microwave gelatin on high until melted, about 10 seconds. Then, stir it into the peanut butter mixture.

  5. Transfer the filling to the crust and smooth the top. Let chill for at least 3 hours.

  6. Serve it plain or decorate the top with dollops of whipped cream and Sweet & Salty OMG! Pretzels.
